JULY 2024: Tie-dye party and Flower scent contest
Hello, Nature Lovers!
This past June was a fun month! We had a two tie-dye parties, with awesome creativity and a lot of people with good tips and great ideas for patterns. We will be distributing awesome sew-on patches for all who attended the party; thanks to Lisa and Tina, from MGX printing in New Brighton, MN, who donated 24 patches to the club. We hope to make a blog post with all the tie-dye creations soon.
While all this excitement was going on, a few things have been working in the background:
There is a flower scent contest (FSC) running now. It will end in August. There are some absolutely AWESOME entries being entered already! To view the results, please wait for the to the FSC blog post (Flower Scent Contest 2024).
Cartoonists Colette Wiering and Gabby Peck have been working hard on the seasonal cartoons. I hope you had a good laugh about the characters. Gabby is coming up with the story for this coming cartoon. Colette is working on drawing the cartoon and has painted the characters. We decided on doing one cartoon every season. It was too busy to do monthly, or even bimonthly.
Our next club activity will be designing fruit sculptures; artwork on fruit using toothpicks. E.g: toothpicking a dragon artwork on a dragon fruit. More instructions coming in the chat.
P.S. What's your favorite marsupial?
Options:
Koala
Opossum (Olivia's favorite)
Quokka (My signature smiley face)
Kangaroo
Wombat (Is discord's Wumpus a Wombat?)
Have fun! My fav out of them all is probably the koala.
Signed with a quokka :)
What fun! I was napping during the tie-dye event, but the pictures of everyone's tie-dye creations were awesome! Looking forward to see if I can snitch a bite of fruit during the fruit and toothpick sculpting activity, hehee
